2013 Season Review

Southern Miss' season was considered a success when they won their first game of the year in their last game of the season.  Though, they won't be playing in a bowl game, a 1-11 season gives them much more hope than another 0-12 season would have.

The most worn home uniform combo this year was the all-black, if you can call it that with the two-toned pants.  The black jersey was also worn with the white pants once.

The gold helmet/white/white combo is the only one in which the Eagles won a game, so it has the best winning percentage by default.  The Eagles wore 2 helmets, 3 jerseys, and 2 pants during the year, giving them 12 combinations.

Week 12: Southern Miss 62 UAB 27 (THEY WON!! THEY ACTUALLY WON A GAME!!!)

Southern Miss won their first game since December 24, 2011 today, defeating UAB 62-27 to snap a 23 game losing streak.  The winning uniform combo worn was the same one worn in the three non-conference road games earlier this year, with the gold helmet returning and being paired with the white jersey and pants.  The gold helmet (though I like it) is despised by most fans, but will finally winning in it make it considered lucky?

Week 11: Middle Tennessee 42 Southern Miss 21

The Golden Eagles will wear the black helmets, black jerseys, and white/gold pants for the first time this year in their final home game of the year.

Week 10: FAU 41 Southern Miss 7

The Golden Eagles unveiled a new, yellow jersey with camo panels to honor Veteran's Day.  The idea of a yellow jersey is great, but I could do without the camo.  The jerseys were worn with the black helmets and black/yellow pants against FAU, making for my favorite combo this year for the USM.

Southern Miss wore the Black helmet on the road for the third time this year, pairing it with the white jersey and white/yellow pants.  This is probably their worst road look.
